Melbourne University Cricket Club (MUCC) players are known as MUCCers and have a proud tradition of enjoying a vibrant cricket and social life.

Traditional Social Events held during the cricket season are:

• New Players Night - October
• Fancy Dress Symposium - November
• Cocktail Night - February
• Lawn Bowls Day - March
• Scholar's Cross (Player of The Season across the whole club) - April
• The institution which is known as Saturday Nights at "The Pavvy"

Another Tradition at MUCC which is unique is the annual Inter Varsity (or IV as it is known) which features a team from MUCC travelling to either, Sydney University, Adelaide University or University of W.A and playing a 3 day tour match.

Twenty20 'Double Header' - MUCC vs St Kilda

A MUCC Family Day will be held at the University Main Oval on Sunday, 8 November to welcome all of the MUCC community, past players & parents to the Club for season 2009/10. During the day, the 1st XI and 3rd XI will be playing a Twenty20 match against St Kilda.

The 3rd XI match commences at 11am to 1.45pm and the 1st XI from 2.45pm to 5.30pm

Colin McDonald Luncheon

For older MUCCers there will be a luncheon at Trinity College during the early Twenty20 game. Guest of honor will be former MUCC captain and Australian opening batsman Colin McDonald. There will copies of his autobiography available for purchase at the luncheon which will be finished in good time to watch the the 1st XI T20 fixture beginning at 2.45pm.

The luncheon will commence at 12 noon. The cost is $25. If you wish to purchase Colin's book the price for that is $35.
